Helping Women Enter Careers Related to Science and Medicine

Dr. Susan K. Schulman, MD, graduated in 1967 with a B.A. from Stern College for Women, Yeshiva University. Four years later, in 1971, Dr. Schulman graduated with her MD from George Washington University School of Medicine. Dr. Schulman's chosen field is Pediatrics. In 1976, she became a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (FAAP), which signifies her ongoing commitment to lifelong learning and advocacy for children. Dr. Schulman's work includes attending physician in Pediatrics at Maimonides Infants and Children's Hospital as well as Associate Clinical Professor in SUNY Downstate School of Medicine. She has been a well known community Pediatrician since 1976. As of this year, 2009, Dr. Schulman authored the pioneering book "Understanding Your Child's Health." She continues to maintain her practice as a pediatrician to the surrounding community.
